Authorities Requesting Public’s Assistance In Locating Burlington Homicide Suspect

Arrest warrant issued this morning for Christopher Piantedosi

BURLINGTON – An arrest warrant was issued early this morning for Christopher Piantedosi, 39, of Methuen, for one count of murder.  Authorities are requesting assistance at this time from the public in locating the suspect.  He is expected to be driving a brown, four-door Honda Civic with Massachusetts license plate 581MC8.  The public is urged not to approach the suspect if they see him, who may be armed and dangerous, but rather are urged to contact your local police station with any information.

According to authorities, at approximately 6:45pm, Burlington Police responded to 23 Forbes Avenue for a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers located a female victim, evidencing obvious stab wounds.  The victim, identified as Kristen Pulisciano, 38, a resident of 23 Forbes Avenue, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Burlington Police and the Massachusetts State Police assigned to the Middlesex District Attorney's Office launched an immediate investigation into the circumstances of the stabbing.  While the stabbing is not believed to have been at random, the investigation remains active and ongoing by Burlington PD and the Massachusetts State Police assigned to the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office.

Organized Retail Shoplifting Ring – Five Arrested

Burlington Police arrested five females for shoplifting in two separate incidents on Thursday, April 5th at the Burlington Mall. The arrests were the result of a coordinated effort with security personnel and Burlington detectives in an effort to curb organized retail theft at the Mall.

The first incident occurred at approximately 2 PM at Bath and Body Works. Detectives Al Gagne and Matt Leary arrested three females for Shoplifting by Asportation. They were identified as: Mellisa Lopes of Mattapan, Kristine Duarte of Boston, and Vanessa Rodriques of Quincy. A search of their vehicle resulted in the recovery of hundreds of dollars worth of stolen merchandise from area stores. Detectives are working with other agencies to identify the location of each store. Police believe these three individuals are members of an organized retail theft ring responsible for multiple thefts in the area.

Burlington Police later arrested two other females at approximately 6:15 PM after a theft from the Express store in the Mall. Officers Shane Thompson and Peter Abaskharoun arrested Zenaida Santiago of Haverhill and Miram Rodriguez of Lawrence for Shoplifting by Asportation. Santiago also had a warrant for shoplifting from Peabody District Court. All five were bailed and will be arraigned at Woburn District Court on Monday morning.
