Outreach

The Council on Aging has two outreach workers who are available to assist seniors and their families find resources to help seniors remain as independent as they would like to be. Appointments are preferred and strongly encouraged.

  • Shayla Ferren LCSW, is available Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Wednesday 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.  
  • Andrea Cross MSW is available Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Wednesday 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Friday 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
  • Caryn Eichenbaum is available Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 9:00 a.m to 3:00 p.m.

Services

The outreach workers also help seniors apply for fuel assistance, food assistance, including SNAP and other benefits and conduct wellness checks.

Caregiver Support Group

The Caregiver Support Group meets once a month at 4:00 p.m. at the senior center. The group is primarily for caregivers of people with dementia symptoms but please contact Andrea Cross at 781-505-1138 or Shayla Ferren at 781-273-7010 if you have questions.
