You Can Save a Life!
NARCAN (Naloxone HCI) Nasal Spray is a life-saving medicine used to treat known or suspected opioid overdoses with signs of breathing problems and severe sleepiness or not being able to respond. NARCAN is available at all pharmacies (insurance coverage varies), and you can discuss options with the pharmacist. Recovery Coach
The Burlington Police Department offers an in-house Recovery Coach to assist residents and and their loved ones who are struggling with substance abuse. The Recovery Coach can help individuals struggling with substance abuse by finding appropriate treatment providers, including traditional inpatient or outpatient treatment, medication assisted treatment, and community-based support groups. She can guide individuals through the struggles of early recovery by providing ongoing based on individual's needs. The Recovery Coach also assists families and friends who are seeking support navigating their loved one's struggle with substance abuse. All services provided by the Recovery Coach are available at no cost to Burlington residents and their families, and do not require insurance coverage.
