School Resources

The Burlington Police Department School Resource Division is comprised of two units that provide support and security to all Burlington Public School Officials, parents, and students. The School Resource Division also provides support to local daycares and private educational institutions. All Burlington Police School Resource Officers and Youth Services Detectives are NASRO (National Association of School Resource Officers) and State certified.

Burlington Police School Resource Officers are tasked with providing education and security, and are assigned to the following schools:

  • Marshall Simonds Middle School (Main Assignment)
  • Memorial Elementary School
  • Francis Wyman Elementary School
  • Fox Hill Elementary School
  • Pine Glen Elementary School


The School Resource Officers are certified instructors that provide educational instruction to all grades in:

  • DARE (Drug, Abuse, Resistance, Education)
  • GREAT (Gang Resistance Education and Training)
  • SRP (Standard Response Protocol)
  • Cell Phone and Internet Safety


Additionally, the Burlington Police Department assists and hosts the following programs and camps offered to Burlington youth:
